What Daytona reference is this?

Hey Guys--

A friend of mine casually mentioned they purchased a Daytona in the 60s or 70s. Here is the photo--we are trying to determine the worth and reference.

Thank you all in advance. This forum is the best.

Looks like a 6363. Nice ones are bringing mid to high $40,000 range. It's hard to determine a condition based on your one photo but it looks like there is some staining on the sub-dials. Also, the tritium markers all being intact seems to be relevant in determining the value, along with correct pushers, bezel and bracelet.

Great watch. I need to ask, he purchased the watch and is now trying to determine the worth? Did he find it at a yard sale? Could be a great story.

Don't listen to these people. Tell your friend I'm offering what he originally paid for it +$100 on top 😂

6263 from the mid 70's and later. Check on Chrono24 to get an idea of prices. That's a nice example but the spotting on the sub dials and what looks like damaged or missing lume plots will affect the value.

Sorry about the typo...it should read 6263.
