As of yesterday morning, they had the milgaus blue and GV black in the case, but that was terminal 5. Good luck.

What about prices for TT? I am going to fly in next weekend for 2 days. If I am lucky I'll get whatever SS sports model they have just to say I did :)

If you're after a BLNR in HK, you're likely going to have pay a HK$2-3k ($400+ AUD) premium, at an AD. They're easy to find if you offer to pay a premium.

I was under the impression that one could order a watch from Watches of Switzerland for delivery to one of their Heathrow shops...

Just amazed at the "scarcity" in the UK
There is nothing amazing about "scarcity" in the UK at all because it is a situation that has always existed.

Every nations currency goes up and down and right now the UK Pound is weak following Brexit. Therefore two things happen.

1. Rolex sells the Watch to the UK and the AD just sells the unstickered watch to a grey dealer in another country. I was in Rome a few days ago and the dealer told me that the UK was his main form of supply. This time last year, when the Pound was strong, Italian AD's were selling to UK grey dealers. International transactions between ADs and grey dealers have always taken place.

2. In order to prevent the above, Rolex will cut back sales to the UK and sell more to Italian ADs in order to prevent them losing sales to local grey dealers.

This will continue until the Pound regains its former strength.

Regards

Mick

Situation is nuts. I'm through Heathrow every day almost. T5 generally has more stock however, I've bought 2 ss sport watches in the last 18 months. This year haven't seen one ss sports (bar a Milgauss) watch on display or even one that has been kept aside in stock. Situation is crazy. If I were new to this it would put me off purchasing a Rolex.

Thanks Mick, if those are the reasons behind the scarcity it's still news to me. Clearly I haven't been paying as much attention until lately re: the U.K. Member challenges acquiring new watches there.

Hope things improve for many reasons - not just watch buys.

LHR T5 probably has the most selection since they have a separate Rolex boutique apart from the main WoS store. However what is available on any given day is really pure luck. Most SS Professional series watches will not last more than a day or two at the airport watch stores and sometimes not even an hour or two.

LHR T5 does not do this. Just luck on the day what they have when you pass through. Couldn't comment on other Rolex suppliers in other terminals.

I'll be heading through Heathrow on Monday. Will check out what they have. If they so happened to have a watch I wanted I'm not sure if I'm up for buying and carrying it around for 2 weeks whilst away as we on safari and a tour. Let's see. If there's a Daytona Im sure I'd find a way of bringing it back.

Negatory, these are some of the most over-demanded watches on the planet.

They've told me in the past that this excludes SS sports models.

They told me last year they won't hold a watch under any circumstances, even with the offer of a deposit.

Are the DJ41 SS/WG variants readily available? Are the prices at the airport exVAT? Possible to get 8% off like other places?

Currently in T3 and they have the usual selection but nothing rare. A lovely platinum Daytona is here at £45k. The lady said the desirable watches sell very quickly and they don't see many subs/GMT or SS Daytonas if ever. Tried a steel/gold Daytona on for size and I really like the feel but couldn't live with the gold.

its all Luck! i spoke to the AD in T5 last week they said theres no reserve lists and they don't know when they get deliveries. He said any sports watch in the window is gone within less then 5 mins.

When i turned up they had a HULK tax free as you fly over out of the EU. £5,500!! Bargain!!

At terminal 3 today they have both versions of Exp II and both Milgauss. Spoke to WoS saleswoman and she said they're getting 2-3 BLNR per month and one GMT LN per week. Didn't enquire about any others. The last BLNR was delivered 2 days ago and was snapped up within minutes. She said they get no advance notice of deliveries and as already indicated no lists and no reservations.

Wow. Seems like the BLNRs are still in high demand huh?
