New member saying hello

Long time lurker making his first post. Been a watch guy for a long time and finally committed to my first "Nice" watch purchase in May. Buying my first at 23 was a really good feeling.

Bought a D SN 16600 Sea Dweller off a close friend. Full set. Came with some pre-installed nicks and scratches so I wont have to cry about the first ding.

I've never considered myself a Rolex guy, mainly was not a fan of the cyclops. Sat on the fence for years on whether I wanted an Omega or a Panerai. Didn't help I had a friend with one or ten of everything; Pateks, JL's, Panerai, Rolex, VC. I can tell you I am glad I ended up with the SD. It was more than I had anticipated spending the first go around, but the next one wont hurt so bad.

The biggest downside to owning the SD is the wish list of watches it brought along.

I plan to try and pick up one or two a year. I just cannot decide on what I want next. I've got four on the short list for right now and a handful of maybe's. I also had my local AD price a glidelock bracelet for my 16600. Even tried one on, felt so much more balanced.

116710LN - I think the all black GMT just oozes class and is so much more understated than the BLNR. Would probably brush the centerlinks.
