Thank you all. I've actually had my eye on this since about 2015. I saw a picture of it in a magazine in St. Martin. Spoke to a jeweler there and he said none to be found. Then I decided to retire and everything changed. Speaking of St. Martin hopefully they can recover from this awful disaster. Prayers are with them.

Well done! It's an exquisite watch, and the movement side looks amazing as well. Quite an achievement for PP to make it almost as slim as the 5711 (I think there's only something like 0.5 mm difference between the two). I guess the recessed micro-rotor saves quite a bit of thickness.

Perhaps the wait on these isn't as long as received wisdom says it is.

Congrats on the watch and retirement.

It's the watch that you can wear every single day of your life and not worry about, or it's the watch you can put in a safe and have it rise in value year after year. The Submariner is, in my belief, the quintessential timepiece for many. When my mind thinks of the word 'watch,' it is a Submariner I see."

Ahh Retirement!

Well I finally got the pictures right. Took me a little while to figure it out. I just wanted to share how beautiful the presentation from PP. The way it is packaged and this fantastic watch. I am so happy right now! I've been planning this for 50 years! Time to enjoy!

Just out of curiosity, what is the downside of not having your name on the papers? Can you not get it serviced or something?

I'm sorry I just looked at my watch and noticed that the moon disappeared - this is killing me!

Dosent matter to some, but to me it feels like its not "my" watch. I want to give my kids my PP's someday and don't want to have to explain how it was John Smith's watch first.
