I am a pastor and have sat with many people who have experienced loss like yours and I still have no idea how it feels. I lost my father last year which has been quite difficult but nothing compares to my wife. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us - both those pleasant and heart breaking. It is what adds humanity to an otherwise sterile environment (the internet). Silly to say this since I am on the other side of the planet, but if I can help in any way, please let me know. Terry
Thank you terry.

They say time is a great healer but it's the company we keep that helps at times like these.

No amount of time will ever make it easier but people who are there for you and offer words of comfort even when it's too painful to hear do help.

As others have said, I am sorry for your lost.

So terrible, I am so very sorry. I can't find the proper words to express my consternation. Be strong, brother, be strong.

Puts things into perspective

All the toys we collect dont mean a thing compared to the relationships we form and treasure all our lives. Deepest sympathies.

The first post froze me.
I have been on Internet forums since 2003 and that's never happened before.

I can only add two things which may have some comfort.

1. She died doing something she obviouslyl loved. Personally, I think that is better than a lingering death from some long lasting disease.

2. If she could tell you something now, I am sure it would be this.
Thankyou for being an amazing partner for all these years - and now I am gone, I want you to be happy again. Never forget me...but please move on and learn to smile once more.

If I passed away.....that is the kind of message I would want my wife to know.

Good luck mate. Your post has touched us all.

I'm barely back into posting here, found your old thread with your 14 watches, read it again for old time's sake and found the last posts a bit odd. A quick research brought me here.

The first post really made me freeze for a second, I am deeply saddened. My condolences for your loss, hang in there my friend.

I am very truly sorry, as I read this first time. The statement about your loss struck me like lightning...
Yes, a watch is special, and I am sorry it had to be associated with your tragic loss.

Once again, find strength in community and in prayers of above..

regards

12 Watches. 29 years. Collection complete.

I've just spent the last few hours learning about you Steve, your adventures, your watches and your old school outlook on life. I felt connected even without any of your life experiences. My small collection of watches each have a special connection for me as well. Then towards the end of my reading it became clear you had experienced a terrible tragedy. I then scoured your posts until I came to this thread. It brought a tear to my eye. While time has probably helped to live with this, I imagine that your connection with your last watch has only strengthened.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I'm feeling like I've just finished reading an epic biography.
I hope life is kind to you and you're getting something back as you have given a lot to us.
