So, finally, I'm in the waitlist for a Hulk..

Today, after 5 years collecting watches, more than 20 pieces of different brands and 3 different Rolex watches, I've finally putted myself in the waitlist for my grail: Rolex Submariner 116610LV, The hulk!

I have to say that I'm quite excited, even when this same happened to me since I've bought my first luxury piece, an Omega SMPc, or when I've got my first submariner, the iconic 16610. But this time feels different, I'm going for my grail, the first one I saw back in 2012 and became my dream watch.

The truth is, last year, I've found myself with more watches that I had the chance to wear, so decided to consolidate my collection in no more than 5 pieces plus a G shock, and that's exactly what I did. I currently have a Rolex GMTc LN, a Rolex Explorer I mk2, an Omega SMPc, Omega Speedy FOIS and a Breitling Navitimer A23322 blue dial, all pieces that I love and wear quite often but someting was missing, specially around my GMT which has been sat in the box since I acquired the explorer, and the SMPc which I wear just a couple of times a month. Besides that, I was reading about all the fever around the availability of the Hulk on some countries and rumors about been discontinued so decided to call my AD and he confirmed to me that the green Sub demand has been increasing and are very few pieces around right now (out of US). He actually has 2 pieces that should arrive in 5 weeks and a long waitlist, but offered me that if I want to, he could add my name for one of those 2 pieces and even gave me a little discount over retail price. So, I give it a quick thought and, as expected, made the deposit and now I'm on the list for the green sub.

And that's it, now I have to wait the next 5 weeks for the call, plenty of time to think about my collection and how to go from now, I'll keep the other 3 pieces to balance the collection in 4, 1 diver (green), 1 pilot (blue), 1 everyday wearer (Black) and 1 speedy (a must have).

Now I will wear and enjoy the keepers, at least until the HULK arrives.

Congrats!!! I know what it feels like to get that watch you love! For me it was the 116710LN, but I totally get parting ways with it or any watch that you don't truly enjoy!! Sounds like a great plan for your collection and I'm very excited for you! May the next 5 weeks go by quickly

Personally, I love the gmt, but I get why you would do it and your collection will have a bit of everything once the hulk arrives.

Well donde, you collection is now better than ever, the GMT, the Hull and the SMPc are one of my all time favorites

My current line up is a SMPc, GMTc, an Aquaracer and a Casio though solar, and I really feel complete

Thanks sir, I really love the GMTc LN but prefer the green sub. I will certainly add another GMT in the future, maybe BLNR or a classic Pepsi (even when I dislike the old bracelet).

Thanks very much. I'm generally quite conservative, but am starting to appreciate a bit of colour here and there. Post some pics when you get it!

Why wait? There is plenty for sale even just in the trusted sellers section.

Here is one on the front page. You can have it within the week.
