What's your Atomic Clock?
Guys,
What's your primary source for correct time? Mine is my Breitling Titanium Aerospace. I used to say that it is my Watchbox Official Timekeeper. ;-) All my Rolexes depend on it! I set it once a year (December,31). Cheers Walter

I go outside, wait until the sun is precisely 3 degrees south of 120 latitude & 64 longitude, then I look at my Iphone and use whatever time that says!

Decades before the internet- as in since 1920 - one use to , like I did starting 40 plus years ago , tune into WWV from Ft Collins by short wave radio to get the correct time . The tic-tic drone was part of it's appeal , but as you can see in the Wiki above , much more info was transmitted to scientists at the same same . It was the techies alternative to dialing up " POP-CORN " or " 767-8900 " from your local phone company - remember that ? Main difference is that today's announcer sounds like he forgot to take his antidepressant . Decades ago, the announcer had that 1940s booming " Newsreel " voice that made announcing each new minute urgent as if counting down to an Apollo space launch. |
