What's your Atomic Clock?

Guys,

What's your primary source for correct time?

Mine is my Breitling Titanium Aerospace. I used to say that it is my Watchbox Official Timekeeper. ;-) All my Rolexes depend on it!

I set it once a year (December,31).

Cheers
Walter

I have several radio-controlled clocks around the house, plus my Casio G-Shock.

Was this a joke? I called this number cuz I got curious. Nothing but the faint sound of tic toc tic toc (maybe, I think). Do you mind telling us what is number is supposed to be for? Thanks.

Time.gov or USNO.

WWV info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWV_(radio_station)

Decades before the internet- as in since 1920 - one use to , like I did starting 40 plus years ago , tune into WWV from Ft Collins by short wave radio to get the correct time . The tic-tic drone was part of it's appeal , but as you can see in the Wiki above , much more info was transmitted to scientists at the same same . It was the techies alternative to dialing up " POP-CORN " or " 767-8900 " from your local phone company - remember that ?
Main difference is that today's announcer sounds like he forgot to take his
antidepressant . Decades ago, the announcer had that 1940s booming " Newsreel " voice that made announcing each new minute urgent as if counting down to an Apollo space launch.
