I was in the Navy and its the only time I wore a watch to bed. GQ's, drills, MOB and on a port/starboard watch at sea, it made sense to keep it on. Getting out of the rack and on station, up all those ladders in a scant few minutes wasnt easy, especially worrying about putting a watch on.
Nowadays I get to sleep w/o Uncle Sam interferring so it stays on the night table.

If I'm away from my home - like I just have been - business trip for 3 days -

IT DOES NOT LEAVE MY WRIST ON ANY ACCOUNT.

Otherwise, I slip it off last thing at night and rest it - on its side crown up - to try and slow it down a bit - runs 10 secs fast a day.

I never take off my watch for sleeping. Some say it is not a good idea, because of the risks to scratch or bang the watch while sleeping.
But I very very rarely had such problems.
I only take my watch off when having my shower if the watch is less than 100m depth proof.

Sort of like a quartz watch, not something anyone needs to own.

I don't sleep with my watch, never really found a need to check the time when I'm sleeping except for when my alarm goes off. I think it's very uncomfortable to lay down and sleep in many different positions with your arms/wrists in all different positions with a watch on.

Only if I'm traveling, and then I wear my JLC Memovox! It's the only time the alarm function is handy. If I'm at home, the only time I sleep with a watch on is when I've had too many cocktails and fall asleep on the couch with it on, get dragged upstairs in the middle of the night, and wake up slobbering on a Rolex or Panerai :-X

I keep the Sub C on 24/7 unless I'm doing something like moving furniture or cleaning. Wearing it to bed and shower just happens, I don't even notice it.

Never used to with my Tag, but ever since I got my YachtMaster I basically wear it 24/7. I don't really noticed it on my wrist.

How else am I going to realize that I'm late for work? Or that it's early and I can snooze a few more hours? I mean, it takes way too much effort to turn over and squint at the alarm clock that I can't read anyway without my glasses.

The safest place for my watch is on my wrist, not on the dresser.
