Just got mine today and love it. Can you tell me what is supposed to be in the box? I have rubber strap, extension, links taken out, warranty card and service booklet. I was surprised not to find an instruction manual (at least just explaining the crown positions and what they did).
Am I missing something? If so, I'll call the AD as want the complete set just for my own sanity... |

Received mine yesterday from Mosco (aka Greg) and here it is on my 6.5 wrist. I was worried it's going to be too big for my wrist but it fits fine, just a little on the thick side.

Great thread being revived again.......
I couldn't make my mind up whether to get the black or blue but decided on the black in the end. I love the fit, weight and matt finish. I loved it so much that a week later I got the blue to keep it company. A moment of silliness that I do not regret at all |

Black Dial Sub Date, here. I'm considering moving to a two watch collection and the blue Pelagos is high on my list.
Actually, it started out with me seeking a beater watch that I could wear to poorer areas in foreign countries without feeling like I might get my arm chopped off by a thief trying to get to my watch (I don't mind having my watch stolen, as that is what insurance is for, however I prefer not to be injured or killed in the process so I wanted something less screaming "ROLEX!!!!!!!" than a Sub date). Then I noticed Pelagos and realized I really like it. Not to mention, it seems to almost match the Sub for features and quality. On the wrist, does it attract attention? More with strap or bracelet? How does it wear with scratches? Per my original quest as stated above, I was looking at the new Seiko dive watch on a rubber strap. Also looking at Squale and Deep Blue. Pictured here. Does anyone have experience with these? I know the Pelagos is more shekels than these pictured, but it sure is good lookin'! |

For those places get a plain Steinhart or better still a SKX.

I want a possibly rubber-strapped automatic dive/sports watch that doesn't attract much attention but still looks good and keeps accurate time. |

The blue is by no means under the radar, in fact it seems to be noticed much more than my GMT. End even more so on the strap imho. About scratches It's too soon to tell for myself but I guess they are to be expected.

The Pelagos is a great watch and a true value for the money, in my opinion. The rubber strap changes the look and the way the watch wears is great. I like the watch so much I owned the blue and bought the LHD when it came out.

Hi it looks great - are you wearing the LHD on your left wrist rather then the intended right wrist? Does it take a while to get use to it if you are?

As far as scratches go none of mine have any noticeable scratches on the Titanium after 3-4 months wear. The only scratches are on the steel clasp The blue is lovely, go for it |

Thanks to Steve and Minute Man for commenting on the blue Pelagos being a quite noticeable watch, including on strap.
Maybe I will pick one up and move my collection to two watches. And then pick up something truly under the radar for my sketchy travel watch. The problem is I want an automatic sports watch that looks cool, keeps good time, but is still under the radar. |

I don't want to poo in the punch bowl at this party, but I'd like to ask for some opinions! I have the Black Bay Blue, and have been considering flipping it for a Pelagos. I love the BB, but with the solid steel, and thick case, it's VERY top heavy. And I feel like I can't get the bracelet to fit just right. My wrist will swell, and it gets super tight. If I throw another link in, and adjust the micro adjustments, it's way too loose.
Have any of you guys owned both? Do you think the Pelagos would improve what I am looking for? (I also DO miss having a date complication) Thanks! Sorry for posting this here! Please don't stop the pictures! |

Just bought a blue mint pelagos and I am already loving it, wearing the SD43 during the week and the pelagos on the weekends, but slowly choosing to wear the pelagos to work sometimes as well. Just well built and 70 hour power reserve is nice. Got a great deal as well!
