I just don't see it.

I actually want it to be true. I'd like to see facts about. As I just don't see it, she I've had both.

Thanks for that pic Tom, quite clear there, also the crown guards are thicker and I believe a ceramic bezel makes it all seem larger too, all good stuff.

Wonderful close-up comparison, Tom. In fact, I noticed the differences between the SS versus the PM Daytona at an AD. And, your amazing photo makes this interesting difference very visible, indeed.

Very interesting comparison! Makes me wanna buy a PM Daytona after owning the SS for only two weeks!

Interesting how the first few posts were sarcastic/negative toward OP now the opinion has changed kudos to you OP for holding your ground..

I noticed this too never considered why it was the case, thought maybe because gold is slightly softer so a bit more metal to allow for for polishing just a guess lol

Tom do both the Platona & SS have the easy link bracelet? Perhaps the new bracelet / clasp updated also the case?

If you look at the right hand side of the watch leading to the crown guards, you must surely notice there is more metal and the right hand lugs are also wider and not tapered like the ss daytona??

This is fact not my opinion!

It's been fairly well documented outside of this thread.

Not to confuse the issue further, the PM model the OP didnt state in his first post....the yellow gold daytona on gold bracelet,...... does wear like the stainless model.

Ok. Well, I'm not going to argue as I don't know the answer personally. After reading the rest of the comments, you have to admit that your post was quite vague, thus the responses you've received.

Had you started with: "FACT - PM versions are slightly larger..." then you might have gotten more pleasant reactions.
My point: clearly convey the intent of your thread.

Thanks for sharing the info btw

Cheers

Yeah, this has been pointed out before. The newer pm daytona's have slightly larger lugs and more case extension around the pushers.

maybe i do need to get my eyes checked, as i still don't see anything definitive.

i suppose i also find it hard to believe that they would change their tooling for such tiny little differences. i get it for the ceramic versions, but for the all metal, it is hard to me to tell by eye-balling it and while yes it has been addressed in other threads, i can't recall ever seeing anything definitive in terms of specs and measurements.

Hi, Could I ask how you're taking the measurements please? The difference in lugs and crown guards is clear, but how does that translate to an increased diameter? The crown guards don't look to be adding to the case diameter. Thanks.

I may be wrong but I think the newer WG bezels will not fit on a SS 116520, can anyone confirm or correct please?
