Calibre 59 first used?
Anyone know when Rolex first started using the Calibre 59 movement please?

Well, from your Australian Tudor, it seems to be some time in the 1930s! I would have guessed by late '30s, in any case, as most of those early '40s Oysters have it.

i have seen it in a rolex that by date charts, which are not perfect as you know, suggest it was made in the year 1930 , not sure if that is when it first came out though sorry
