Root beer GMT bracelet and clasp opinion needed
Dear friends,
Recently I acquired a 1675 GMT root beer nipple dial, 6 mil series which original warranty paper dated year 1980. The watch was originated from South America market. It comes with complete set of original double box and warranty paper. I have question about the bracelet and clasp and need your opinion. Hope our experts in forum could give your advice. The two tone jubilee bracelet has end link 450 mark. But do not have 50 mark at last link. Upon closer inspection, the clasp does not have any date code (letter which indicating the estimated date of the clasp). It only state 62523H 18. Steelinox. I checked my other jubilee bracelet on my other Pepsi GMT, I can see there is letter for example op4 mark next to the Steelinox on the clasp. Do you mind to enlighten me about this bracelet and clasp? Many thanks in advance for your time and advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The bracelet for the U.S. market would have been 14k in 1980. My guess is the bracelet was swapped out at some point from a datejust since it lacks the 50. The end links also don't have a J which the vintage ones have.
Not sure if it being sold in S America changes anything. Nice Root Beer by the way! |
