'58 oyster royal with new bracelet
my father gave me his 1958 oyster royal 6444 and I just got a newer bracelet from my local ad this week.
dad bought it new in England while on leave from UN peacekeeping duties in the middle east. while the original box is long gone, I do have the original warranty/user guide booklet. I've grown up around this watch and am pleased to be the new caretaker. it is so tiny compared to my 2531.8 omega seamaster pro! I hope you good folks like it! |

ty all for the nice comment's! my dad was with the rcaf, and purchased the watch at Langar air force base in England while on leave. it might have referred to his unit..I should ask him when I talk to him next! |

Hi Greg, welcome aboard from Hamilton.
That looks like a wonderful family heirloom Rolex, and glad to read your Dad is still there to pass it down to you. P.S. Next time you post pix, you might want not to choose "size of the currently known universe" size. .

hi from Halifax! lived in Ottawa and north bay back many years ago!
I'm heading home to visit my folks later this week and he is going to get a kick out of the new bracelet! he is 82 now and was around 24-25yrs old when he bought it! I cropped the pics in my phone, but apparently they are still huge..sorry about that. they look normal on my tablet! |
