Hands down some of the nicest shots I've seen for a while - have been resisting the Leica rabbit hole, but liking the idea of the Q more and more.....

Does a 16600 COMEX qualify as vintage now?

Loving the M-P 240, my first digital Leica, but I already had lenses and the M9 just never cut it so glad I waited. The Q is an obvious step for Leica, had a good play with one and it's a real modern camera from Leica with all the bells and whistles but I would find the fixed 28 hard to live with and I love the M because it's a rangefinder and it is still true to it's lineage. The Q looks much like a classic Leica but is a world apart from the M. In reality though I think if they had gone for an interchangeable lens camera with the Q it would kill the M line and they didn't want that to happen.

So I succumbed to the Leica Q. It's a wonderful camera, so far just used it on a short holiday trip and enjoyed using it immensely. Great weight and size and just lovely optics as you would expect. Must say pretty handy to have AF but the EVF is fantastic for manual focus, best I have used. Will have a good play with the macro functions and some watch subjects in the next few days.

Couldn't believe they tried to can it on DigitalRev TV and then in another review tried to sing the praises of the ridiculous new M262 which is USD$5200 (body only) for a economy made dumbed down feautureless version of the M240. Compared to M cameras the Summilux lens on the Q alone makes it worthwhile and the body comes as a free bonus!
