I'm sorry for your loss. Life is not how many days we lived, but how much life we lived in the days gone. My heart goes out to you and I pray for your love to be at peace.

So sorry, terrible news. Really wish you the best, in our prayers.

At first it sounded like a terrific thread.

So sorry for your loss!
Like many on the forum I'd read and enjoyed every page of your epic thread and was looking forward to updates on your future adventures (and still am of course!).
Such sad news.

12 Watches. 29 years. Collection complete.

Truly sorry for your loss, Steve. May you be given strength during this time. Many of us are thinking of you.

I just read your FB post... Beautiful words. I can't imagine how hard that was to write, yet it was so clear and nothing unsaid.

If anyone hasn't read it, do yourself a favor and do so. You'll grab your loved ones a little tighter tonight.

I don't think that I have ever felt such a pang of grief from a posting on a website before. It stifles my breath thinking about your loss.

You know what. It still is. It's a thread about love. About time. About the two being the same.

Ok. I think this is the most important thread ever.

Sorry, to be so, yet we get so caught up in getting the next watch, we just need to sit back and think.

A watch can be a symbol, a keepsake. They measure time, our place in the world, our passing, they ground us.

Treasure one watch. As I do.

In the grand scheme of things, our watches mean nothing. However the memories, feelings and people we ASSOCIATE with them is priceless. my condolences for your loss, Steve.

Sorry to hear my friend. I lost my father in a quite dramatic way last year and think about the event on a daily basis. I acquired my 5070 shortly after his passing because it made me realize in part that life is short and unpredictable. It's ironic at the same time, as these watches and other things that become objects of our desire are so meaningful but at the same time worthless in the big picture of things that is life.

What watch did you acquire if I may?

Best.

I am so sorry for your loss. Really weird just watching the Derby and saw a horrible spill with two horses and jockies but all were well surprisingly, cherish your watch and your wonderful memories.
