Meters first with a 1530?
Hi all,
Wanted to ask your help in something, after not finding an answer in the archives. Just got a 5513 that looks very good (great matching patina, ghost insert, etc) but is raising a couple of questions in terms of its consistency. Wanted to be sure. It's a matte meters first dial (with all the print details looking good), it has a 1.49M serial, with III.66 caseback and a 1530 movement. From my readings I understand that around 66 some overlaps might have occurred in both gilt and matte dials, as well as calibers 1530 and 1520 being used, but does this combination of 5513, meters first and 1530 make sense for 1966? Can put forward some pictures if it helps. Thanks, much appreciated! /R |

Welcome to the Forum!
You have done some research that is pointing you in the right direction. I will point you to a discussion that a respected member (Tomvox1) spelled out the overlap and history of this particular model/year watch. Hope that will serve to answer any doubts you may have... AND of course, pictures would be greatly appreciated.. http://www.network54.com/Forum/20759...5513+Movement- |

Many thanks for the warm welcome!
I had come across that discussion, but given it was in 2008, wondering if any new intel surfaced. Thank you for underlining its relevance Oh, and btw, here's the beast All other inputs welcome /R |
