First was a sea-dweller, and I wouldn't change that. Still one of my favorite watches. My second was a polar explorer II. I'd probably re-do that in favor of a Daytona.

It would be hard to beat a sub for the first, IMO.
Now, if it would be the bluesy, LV-C, or classic black...that's another question. |

Got the Rolex bug in 1988 when the Bubbleback was all the rage. It was all I could afford being very young and on a tight budget.
Had I simply scraped together a bit more money and bought a Submariner or a Daytona, oh well. |

My first Rolex was a Pepsi 16710, bought when nobody wanted one. I'd probably stick with that.

On second thought, I should have bought every sapphire/matte dial I could get my hands on - back when the vintage guy's hated them.

My first was a sub 114060.
I'd probably buy the same watch again. Great all around tool watch and one of the best looking too (IMHO). It's really the most versatile Rolex made. |

This was my first Rolex, and if I could do it all over again it'd be the same.

My Explorer II was my first and I would do it again. I have been wearing it all week and forgot how practical and great of a watch it is. Something about the white dial and black hands is so unique and just draws you in. Also kind of helps that orange is my favorite color.

My first was an Explorer II Polar.
If I were to do it again with only one it would be the BLNR. |

No question about it! My Explorer 1016, it's on my wrist today, as it has most days since 1983.

Same now as was my first-bluesy 16613. Love it.

I got a black stainless Submariner Date as my first Rolex. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone with the Yachtmaster with the platinum dial which was the original watch I wanted.

For me, it would be the 16610LV.
My first Rolex was still a Submariner 14060M; however, when I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy, the 16610LV was long gone from stores (and wanted my first to be new from an AD). Still regret not picking one up. |

I'm new to these forums and I recently purchased two rolexes in the past two months. The Sea Dweller and Yachtmaster - I love them both very much! Do people really wish they had gone back to get a different watch?

I'd say a 16710
My first was a 16713. But now I have a 16710. I probably should have just started with a 16710. It was really what I wanted anyway. Just on that one day, the gold of the 16713 just sang to me more. |
