It would still be the same, a Sub C ND.

My first was a 14060M 4 liner, the only thing I would change is I would have gotten the 2 liner instead for aesthetic reasons. I ended up selling the 4 liner and purchasing a 2 liner.

The same that I have: 14060М, two liner. I already know what my second Rolex will be: a 16710 ;)

The 14060M was my first and I wouldn't change a thing.

I wouldn't change a thing. My first was a 16610 Submariner Date- a most fitting entry to the Rolex world. It's long gone and I've since gone on to have bought and sold just about every sports model, but I'll always look back on that sub with the fondest of memories.

Thinking about it; more likely it would be the 39mm OP.

Thats a tricky one, if I had to do it all over again I would say a Sub for sure. Love my yachtmaster but think I would have started out with a timeless piece (imo) and more of an every day watch.

SS Daytona was my first.... I’d still go with the SS Daytona in ceramic if I was to start over.

This is partly what kept me from getting my BLRO a long time ago. With my 7.75" wrists and my taste for more wrist presence than a 40mm Rolex afforded, I wore Omega Seamasters for more than a decade. I was fascinated and drawn to the GMT Master II since the mid-1980's but I thought it would be too small. So I dithered. Talked myself in and out of it countless times.

As my tastes changed I found myself seeking less wrist presence than my 45.5mm Seamaster provided. After jumping on the DSSD for all the wrong reasons I traded it for my grail watch, the 16710 Pepsi.

Afterthought: the "Pepsi" should be called the "Pan Am."

I too have worn an Omega Planet Ocean for many years and earlier this year swapped the steel bracelet for the black and orange rubber strap - so it gets less wrist time than it did,but still has a clear place in the collection.

I was tempted by the DSSD and keep trying to talk myself into a Deep Blue - but it’s never looked as good on my wrist as it does in photos.

I’m looking to add a Sub LV - and if I’m happy with the 40mm size (which based on my initial westing of the reference, i very much expect to be!!), then a BLRO will also be very much “on the list”. I’ll admit to a fondness for ceramic dials, so don’t think I’ll be picking up a PM piece without some more consideration.

Congratulations on your PanAm...it is a great watch

My 16233 Datejust was a perfect first Rolex. I’m eager for a Polar Explorer II, I wouldn’t want to do it any other way.

First purchase is 16610 and sold it already.
Would buy a 16610lv if I could choose again.

It was 16710 then , it would most likely be the same today. Well, perhaps Batman instead of coke

I'd stick to the classic no date sub

it's a watch you can combine with any outfit and it's can iconic timepiece on it's own

if you want a little bit of color, the new batman isn't bad either

For me personally if I only had to go with one watch for several years without getting another one it'd definitely be the no date sub

Started with a Yachtmaster 16622 purchased new from AD in 2001. I would do the same again. It's the watch I fell in love with when I knew nothing about watches. Still have it but the wife wears it now.

Got a DSSD last year. Was deciding on that and a SD4k. Wish I bought an explorer 2 instead.

The watch wouldn't have changed; however, I think I would have looked for a better deal here on TRF. If you have not make your purchase yet, I would recommend reaching out to some of the top trusted sellers here for your best pricing and customer service. There are a lot of great folks on this site.

My first watch was a brand new 1675 GMT Master which was manufactured in 1977. I was originally going to buy a new Rolex Cosmograph Daytona around the same time but passed because the Cosmograph Daytona was considered a “dog” during that time. Why ? Because you had to manually wind them every day and the crown and tube would suffer high wear and they would need to be serviced more often. So I chose the self winding GMT. If I had the chance again I would buy the Cosmograph Daytona.

My first was a 39mm Explorer this year. It wasn’t for me and sold it in a couple months. I got a SubC Date and I’m loving it. This would have been a better decision for my first.

I would still start with a SS Datejust with a Jubilee bracelet. Pretty much the same watch that I bought back in 2004. Maybe go with a blue dial instead.

I've only been at this for three years but I'd still pick up my 116520 first.

The only thing I'd change if I could do it all again is not buying the BLNR and picking up a YM 1 instead. I don't regret the BLNR because it's a bad watch, far from it, I just view it kind of like someone else missed out because I got there first.
