Black is the basic/essential dial color for dive watch. If one has to go, D-Blue is more likely. Rolex may discontinue both current model and launch a new Deepsea with 3235 movement.

Or Rolex may decide to discontinue the Deepsea line .....(not impossible imo)

the ym ii is good for sailboat racing because people sail across the starting line. so it is imperative to cross as close as possible to the start but not before. therefore i am not sure an electronic device would be more beneficial wxcept perhaps for alarm as in the time frame the mechanical may be as accurate.

most sailboat racers are not pros just as most people who play tennis are not pros.

If they release a ss coke with a 32xx movement, it won't be good for my savings... Other than that I would hope for a 40mm explorer ii, but that is just my wishful thinking. As others have said, I would actually welcome any release that lowers secondary pricing on 16710s

More seriously though, it seems to me that JFD is doing at Rolex essentially the same he did at Zenith, recenter the brand around classic and balanced designs. Since taking office, he zeroed in on most of the more controversial shapes adopted in the 2000ds. DJ II became DJ 41, DD II became DD 40, DSSD became SD 43 and so on. In that dynamic, I could see the square lugs of the maxi case eventually coming up for a tough re-election campaign. Whether that would already come next year is anybody's guess, but it's likely to happen someday.

- Submariner with 3235 mvmt and lugs more reminiscent of the 5-digit series with optional Oysterflex strap
- Daytona ceramic in SS with optional Oysterflex strap

These are not influenced by my personal wishlist. Nope, not at all :)
