Now mark your place in Seiko History ! One of the die hard Seikoholic fan from the WUS forum wasnt exactly comfortable with name "62MAS reissue" given to the SLA017 so he coined the term 8LMAS I have to agree. It's a gr8 name |

Haha, you really did! That supply of 2000 is decreasing every time somebody opens this thread. Thanks Megan, and I agree completely re: 8LMAS. Perfect handle for this one. |

Wow. I've got a couple of 6309s, and love them just as much as any Rolex. Enjoy it!

I was strolling through Central, and guess what I spotted in a shop window? The SLA017. And the price was too good to turn down Proud to join the owner's club

for reference, MSRP was 26,500 HKD ($3,393)... the AD gave 10% discount. there's no sales tax or VAT here. way better than 3800 euros!

For me, the SLA017 is not just a good vintage style diver -- It's also a strong statement from Seiko, in terms of the value of its brand and history. of course, it was difficult to leave the AD without buying anything else from the Prospex or Grand Seiko displays |

I just had a couple of funny messages from friends over at WUS and The Dive Watch Connection forums. One was asking 'What the Hell is going on over there (subsection non Rolex forum)?" Another was asking "How much is the SLA 017 going for in your country?" One commented "You guys have lots of great photos"'and apparently quite a number of them have read your advice to contact the Seiko NYC and are rushing to the boutique to get One !! (or two..) OMGawddd |

Awesome photos Sir. I believe you have single-handedly made the SLA 017 a very critical and desirable timepiece to own !Thank You Sir and because of you, I now have one in my name but you sure are persuasive (or should I say Rubbing It In ! )for the others who are still undecided

I agree with you, Bob. Not only the comfort, but the quality feels right up there with my Omega, Rolex and Panerai watches. The bracelet leaves a little to be desired, but I never had any intention of taking it off the rubber strap, unless maybe to put it on a NATO. Every time I check this thread there are three more new owners, I love it. Congrats to all! |
