overseas purchase

Has anyone here bought off chrono24/europe and shipped to the US?

What is the likelihood of import duties on preowned watches?

Let me know if you have had issues.

Thanks.

Chrono24 is an aggregator, they you have to deal with the individual seller, which may be a private person or company. Lots of things that could go wrong. Are you looking to save money or are you looking for a particular piece.

Have you read reviews for chrono24? If not please do. Mixed reviews but mostly bad reviews.

That's like saying that reviews for eBay are mixed. Like was said, it depends on the seller. I've bought and sold on Chrono24, including international transactions, with absolutely no issues. I do my due-dilligence on the seller or buyer, first.

Has anyone bought using Chrono24's own service, and had a problem and then got a refund easily from them? Ebay offers good protection for a buyer but don't know about chrono24.

Bought two watches from overseas to the US through Chrono 24, no issues either time. One of them I had to pay import duty on (plus then later greedy California ‘use tax’ because customs had reported the importation to the tax board). The other I didn’t so your mileage may vary..,
