Explorer 1016 condition
Hello
I've passed by this 1969 Explorer 1016 and have always been quite interested in this simple version of the Explorer. I'm pretty new to the watch game and have been trying to analyze the condition over the last days, so far I've found: - replaced dial & hands between 1997 and 2000 (tritium dial with luminova based off the strong white and T < 25 marking) - 358 instead of 580 end links I'm quite unsure about polishing (lugs around 2 o'clock look pretty small?) and the less obvious things and would appreciate any other opinions, if just to be able to better identify a future model! Thanks, N |

Hello,
The real problem on this watch is the bracelet attachment, the width of the lugs looks fine. Look carefully at the picture of the upper half, and lower half on the back of this watch (from the original site) you got this picture from. |
