It was fun checking out their designs, even if I would never want one for myself.

I was thinking too, if this is bad news. May be for Bamford, for sure not for Rolex..

Did Rolex influence Bamfords decision?

There’s nothing to stop Bamford still doing work on other brands – LVMH do not (as far as I know) own the company, and all that has been done is to remove the other brands’ images, etc.
If they have stopped doing Rolex, then I suspect Titan Black will pick up the ball and run with it.

I wonder what would be keeping them from acquiring them through grey dealers/used? Or can people that really want a Bamford send them a stock watch to modify?

I can't imagine them being able to survive as a company selling modified Zenith and Bvlgari watches.

I did think 99% of their designs were horrendous, but there might've been like 1 or 2 that I thought looked good, but I know I would never spend that kind of money to get a modified Rolex.

im referring more to the sentiment of joy being expressed on the forum with regard to a customizer no longer doing Rolex's. I just feel like what one does with their watch is their choice. If someone wants a Bamford Rolex that takes nothing away from my non customized version.

I thought this was a joke, until I looked at the website. Odd, will owning a Bamford watch in the future be like owning a watch made by Old Spice?

No chance – Bamford own their own images, and someone’s watch is free to be used and decorated however they see fit… Rolex loses all control over it once it has been purchased.
It’s simply nothing more than LMVH not wanting another brand to be visible.
That said, I am personally highly disappointed to see the Bvlgari Octo in amongst them, but c’est la vie.

That looks like an alien version, or a horror movie casting choice by the killer.

These watches aren't as popular (not even close) as a Rolex so I wonder how successful they will be. And the Rolex crowd is different. I'm sure most people rather buy a Bamford Rolex than a Bulgari.

Then again, George Bamford doesn't need to care about money so he can do whatever he wants and pleases.
