Best DayDate combo btw yellow and rose gold?
So lately I've had the itch to buy myself a daydate.
I was looking at the Daydate ii 41mm discontinued now and the new 40mm models. I don't wear any jewelry besides my wedding ring but would really like to go with either yellow gold or rose gold. I truly love the rose gold with the green dial for the 60th anniversary they came out with. The thing I'm not crazy about on the 40mm is the last link that's connected to the watch case. Not sure why they did a double link and not a clean solid one like on the 36mm or 41mm IMHO looks better. Please let me know your opinions on best color combo and size between 41mm and 40mm. I know the 40mm has the new movement with 70hr power reserve which is really nice. If you have one please post pictures! Thanks Tom

YG, champagne, stick dials --> greatest of all time
DD40 is the best iteration yet. Don't forget about the ceramic inserts in links to eliminate stretch. That's huge for such a timeless watch. |

If your going to get rose gold you need to get Rose with chocolate dial. That is the best combination as the choco dial goes with the Rose hand in hand.

I really like the RG/green and have seriously considered one for myself but I'm afraid it won't stand the test of time. I'm currently in the YG/champagne camp but haven't decided. I vote YG/champagne.

Yg/champagne
Despite having just over a 7inch wrist I do prefer the classic elegance on the 36 Something a lot day dates and datejusts that I prefer smaller. Having said that I do own a 41, my wife's Wimbledon |

As far as the last link connected to the watch case...I have no idea what you're talking about. The DD40 is a work of art, IMO. I'm attaching a pic of mine, although it is the WG model, you get the idea. |

Love that combo, however I think it screams "old man watch". I think if you're under 70 you skip the brown dial.

The 40 also has ceramic inserts in the solid bracelet, as this reduces bracelet stretch. Went with the DD40 Everose after much consideration personally. YG is classic of course so get what YOU love.
Enjoy your Time.

Well, when I first set eyes on a photo of the DD40 60th Anniversary, Everose with olive green dial, I thought it was the nicest watch I had ever seen. Although I have compared other DD40 combos, this still comes out on top. As far as the dial goes, I have the same color on my OP34. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, I will have this DD40 as well.
While I do really like the stick markers on lots of the models, I find the gold Romans really set the dial apart from other dials. The entire combo of Everose, Olive Green, the Roman numeral markers, and the exquisite President bracelet really make this a special watch indeed. There really are so many DD40 combinations that are winners. One of the reasons I like the DD40 over the DD36 is the end link. It gives more of a seamless look. When I see the DD36, I feel the large end link give the case too square a look.
