Rolex 6634 Brevet + Need Help

Please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong area....I am new. My father was a master watchmaker in Dallas for 60 years and recently passed away. Among his parts, materials and findings I found a rolex and began examining it to research it. It is a 6634 gold overlay and I can faintly see the word BREVET and a + outline at the 12 lug. I can not, however, see a serial number to properly date it. Any suggestions? I am trying to determine its worth. Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

S.G.

The serial should be at 6:00 are you clearing the estate? Any Rolex material/parts/tools?

I'm in Austin and I have an interest in old parts and tools for sure.

The watch is mid 50's as it has a 1030 movement. Case is pretty much toast there it looks like.

The money is in the movement.

Can you shoot a straight on shot of the dial?

VERY likely it is refinished. that kind of kills the value too.

The date will be on the inside of the caseback here. At least the quarter of what year.

Thanks R.W.T! That helps tremendously. So nice to hear from someone local. Yes, I am slowly listing (on ebay) a container full of Rolex parts and other goodies I inherited. You can find what I have listed so far under user sg_atx. I added some straight shots of the dial and caseback below. I am just trying to get a realistic idea of how I should value the piece. I did not follow in my father's trade and have always regretted it. I appreciate the knowledge that will hopefully be shared here. Thanks Again!

So it's not 6634? It's a 6334.
