PP fake marketing?

Before I get bombarded with angry comments, I'm not posting this article to bash PP- I found the article very interesting which shows the extent hype and marketing can affect our perceptions about a brand.

5522- it's the gift that keeps on giving.

Did you know Kennedys full letter stated that he wanted to send a man to the moon and bring him back safely, with a 5522 on the wrist.

Yes.

I also heard that when George Washington invented time he predicted one day it would be perfected in the 5522.

of course its hype, the same way paper money is only worth what we collectively agree it worth.

That said, marketing hype or not, they still made those watches which by any standard are amazing, the value of what they are worth is the only subjective part.

I always believe all marketing. Did you know it takes a year to make a Rolex?

they probably count the 8 months it must take for a completed case to have the movement installed when it is just sitting in the factory ready to go for those numbers to work. Counting start to finish i might believe it, but obviously its not continuous work.

Is it true that there are 5,522 individual parts in a 5522 as my salesperson has indicated?

Fidel Castro supposedly had the 5522 prototype on his wrist when he won La Revolución de Cuba. No one knew except Stern family and Aliens.

Wow and they make 1 million, Voutilainen takes a year and makes only 50, he must have it all wrong, not even talking about Roger Smith

Little known fact, but Mosses received both tablets of the 10 commandments and a PP 5522. The tablets he destroyed, the PP he looked after for the next generation.

Clearly Moses received the 5522 the same time he got the ten commandments from god. Evidence of this.

You mean Burt Lancaster – you do realise that’s an actor playing a fictional character, don’t you?

As a Christian, I should take offense to that. However, I'm too busy reading Hodinkee articles about the 5522. According to Ben Clymer, there are only six hundred pieces.
