You might want to have a think before making moronic statements like that. You've obviously never been through Chart Sutton, Loose, Linton, Boughton Monchelsea, Leeds, Yalding, Bearsted, etc. Muppet.

Funny old world Ruud, Watchfinder .com back in the early noughties were a one man show working above a shop there (Maidstone)... bought my 2nd Explorer (114270) and later my 50th Anniversary Sub (I refuse to use septic nicknames for my ROLEXes) from them... they've now got a shop in the Royal Exchange (amongst others) roughly where my booth was down in the old LIFFE market - plenty of muppets down there as well, I recall fondly; made some good wedge from them jubbos ;)

I didn't realise you were referring exclusively to the town centre. Sorry, my bad.

Other than that, a measured and intelligent response. Well done

I can see how he's made his money though, Tony. Offering low ball money to take watches in and then punting them out at over-inflated prices. They have a good stock but I can't see me ever working with them.

They're everywhere. I think someone's left the lid off the box of muppets

At USD1.19 to GBP1 at one point earlier this year, it wasn't that far off

Bear in mind those prices also include 20% VAT, so divide by 1.2 to get a true comparison with US prices.

How'd you work that out?* The Americans pay tax too.

It seems to me that the MSRP is set by Rolex to accommodate the differences in a country's imposed tax. In Singapore, the GST (VAT equivalent) is only 7% but the retail prices are quite similar, with fluctuating exchange rates accounting for most of any discrepancy. I see the same with Panerai, Omega and MB too.

Nothing to work out, just making comparisons equal.
Remove the VAT, since US prices are displayed net of local sales tax.

Ah, got it. I thought (mistakenly) that they had both national and state taxes

You're absolutely right; I crossed a line there. My bad.

A mild apology to Mr/Miss/Mrs/Ms Cheeses.

She might be but not for me. Remember she threatened to drag my Jacob's over my head last weekend if I buy the PAM 651 and it's less than half the price of the EXP II
