311.30.42.30.01.005 Jomashop sale on the Moonwatch?

My friend is looking to add a 42mm Moonwatch from Jomashop. Comes with the presentation package and additional nylon strap (the full deal). Is 3595$USD taxes in a solid price? What's your honest opinion? I think it's a great deal but would like a more seasoned Omega owner to chime in.

I wouldn't buy it from Jomashop at that price because it will not have a valid Omega warranty card, and there are trusted sellers here on TRF who will provide a BNIB Speedmaster Professional with the complete AD package, and with the Omega warranty card validated by an Omega AD, all for virtually the same price you mention. Contact me if you would like examples of posts from those sellers here on TRF.

At that price, you can pick one up brand new off a seller on the forums with full OEM warranty. I would recommend going that route to your friend. Joma only comes with their "in house" warranty.

Same. I bought mine from x_jbm_x here for a similar price with full kit and warranty card. He is one of several trusted sellers here who almost always have them.

He's gonna pull the trigger on Jomashop. Deal seems pretty good vs what the forums are offering. Tax free too.

I guess the primary point is that it will only have a Jomashop warranty. So in two years if the watch fails you have to ship it to Jomashop instead of taking it to an AD. If the prices are the same obviously you'd rather have an Omega warranty but I haven't searched recent prices.

Look at DavidSW web site. He has what you want or can get it shipped to you immediately. The part you left out was the price hit your friend will take when he tries to sell or trade it without a warranty card from Omega.

David SW is my recommendation also. I have purchase numerous watches from him, Rolex and omega, all with warranty cards for excellent prices. His prices and integrity can't be beat. Hope this helps.

Omega makes good watches with sky high standards before releasing them. Warranty is for people who need that additional peace of mind. It's very unlikely that anything will happen to his watch within the warranty period. If he is unlucky then the savings justify the light gamble.

Yeah, I will likely use him once I decide on a Rolex. What's your opinion on his listed prices? Seem a tad high at times but perhaps he's expecting a bit of negotiation.

As noted throughout this thread, the savings seem to be $0. If a buyer simply prefers jomashop for some emotional reason then that's fine, but arguments to make that choice are illogical.

We couldn't find anything new for that price. Did some searching.

Here’s one from a TRF TS https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=630094. A bit more but includes shipping and warranty card.
