International shipping of high value items and insurance

Hi everyone,

For personal reasons already mentioned in another thread, I have decided to sell my entire watch collection to finance a very expensive medical treatment. Family comes first, so it is not an issue.

Anyway, I was wondering how you guys ship $15k+ watches and ensure they are properly insured. Who are the best providers and how do I make sure my parcels will be effectively delivered? I am based in the UK and will most likely sell to people based in Europe and/or the US.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Try to sell it within your own country. Too much headache and stress when bad things happen...and it does happen.

Check out Parcel Pro....

Unfortunately, this is no longer an option for private individuals...

1 million things can go wrong... And more. Sell in your country , even for a lower price. Or even to an AD.

Having read your previous post, you have a lot to deal with. Have you thought about working with a recognised dealer who has the experience of world wide shipping? I know someone who may be able to help (obviously there are cost implications). Alternatively, I’d investigate shippers that will accept high value watches and jewellery fully declared and insured. If a purchaser doesn’t want to declare full value, then they need to accept responsibility.

From what I have read so far, it seems that only DHL offers this service. To be honest, it's just another worry on top of so many others... but at the same time, given how expensive the treatment is, I don't want to sell the Daytona way below its current market price.

Thanks again to all the people who have already commented here!
