Which Datejust blue dial?

If you were offered both and had to choose between the darker blue or the Azzuro blue dial on a date just 41, which one would you pick, and why?

I like the Azzurro shade more, but not roman hour markers so the standard blue gets my vote.

Think of any Italian national team jersey (with roman numerals only) vs the "classic"

I chose standard blue with stick markers. Still love it.
Note there is no lume at all in the Romans. Not even in the hands on those models either I think.

Went with Azzurro. Preferred the blue shade and the Romans so easy decision. Fluted and jubilee. Both blues are excellent.

I would go with azzuro. Not only because I like it better but only the DJ41 has this dial whereas the standard blue dial is on plenty of other models.

Depends on your other watches.

Is you have a collection solely of sports watches with indexes, I would select the Azzuro with romans.

In any other situation, blue with sticks.

Life was better when Rolex offered the datejust 36 on the same deep blue dial regardless of Romans or sticks. Now if you want Romans on the 41 you have to go for azzurro.

A year ago I would have said the standard-issue blue dial, but having seen the Azzuro in person a few times, I definitely (and strongly) prefer that dial over the standard blue.

The Azzuro is much more interesting.
