Used to be my Submariner 16610 for many years. Then my GMT 16710. Now my daily beater is my Daytona 116500 black dial that I almost always wear on Jubilee.

Me too. Beaters are for serious damage potential. Unless you're a SEAL or a mechanic most dailies don't ever see the level of abuse I'd expect a beater to receive. For me surfing or sailing are two activities that can potentially end up with serious damage or loss of/to a watch.

I can't afford to treat my Rolex watches as beaters!! When doing stuff around the house, I wear my Seiko Arctura. It's been my beater for the past 18 years. On summer vacation, I've been wearing two cheap and cheerful divers at the beach for the past 5 years, Kentex Marineman I and II, black and green MOP dials which I use for snorkeling.

Don't have a beater per se. Daily wear is my Tudor Submariner (black bezel/face). Casio Illuminator for around the house, exercise. Citizen Eco Drive on mesh strap for suits, Church, etc.

Only legit luxury beater in here. It looks actually really cool with some wear. I don’t think I’ve seen one actually “warn” like this.

A pristine looking Rolex (or PP) is not a beater if never beaten on.

I have a 3 month old Daytona with a ton of wear compared to most but would never call it a beater.

Your "annual cleaning" post of that watch is to this day one of my all time favorites. To me it sums up everything a Rolex should be. Oyster case for the win!

Nah, I consider my everyday watch my beater. Doesn’t necessarily mean is inexpensive either.

As someone mentioned it really is about definition of beater. For me I need a watch I can wear without drawing attention for a month long trip we are taking in a couple weeks.

It is pretty clear that a round of Frisbee with a dog is about the worst beating some of the watches here have seen.
