Incoming! First Rolex, DJ 41 Diamond Dial + Eating My Own Words

Hello all,

Went to view, try on and ultimate pick up my first Rolex. A Two Tone DateJust 41 with a Champagne Diamond Dial.

In love with this watch and very happy that I was able to get it within an 8 week wait period. Fits great, is super comfortable and looks phenomenal. This is my first Rolex but hopefully not my last. I look forward to acquiring many more pieces in the future.

Now, previously, I have posted about my awful experience with larger ADs. Usually, this has come down to the SAs themselves. Random unresponsiveness, telling me to go back to Hublot to buy from there and laugh battles to name a few. However, out of all of these, it seems I have managed to find a smaller AD that does seem genuine once you get past the initial wall they put up. Despite what I said about ADs, I’m forced to now retract what I said previously. My faith in ADs has somewhat been restored. Being a smaller AD, I hope they stay and don’t get closed down like other smaller dealers in recent times. My opinion on the larger ADs, however, remains the same.

That being said, I’m happy to officially be a part of the Rolex family. I’d like to thank the members of this forum that have contributed and offered me advice and opinions (even the more hostile ones ).

Here’s to many more incomings.

Cheers

Nice watch. Glad you have landed one and had a better experience. All AD''s are not made the same. Its also a very human interaction. With that in mind, best to find one that fits.
