How do you guys feel about diamonds on a watch?

Personally:

I am a man who thinks diamonds only look good on women. With very few VERY FEW exceptions, should a man ever wear diamonds. In my opinion I wouldnt purchase a watch with diamonds, because I think that you wear a watch too much to have diamonds on it.

Your opinions?

A WG DD with the silver dial and a diamond at the 6 and 9 looks pretty good to me. I would happily wear that.

My TT Datejust with a royal blue diamond marker dial looks very elegant and yet it is not too gaudy. I think diamond markers only look good with either a black or royal blue dial. Even that, I don't wear that watch often unless to attend a special dinner or banquet. Diamond bezels are out of the question.

Don't like them on mens' watches. They are expensive but make the watch look "cheap"

I agree with Blue Bull, I have seen some that look OK with diamond markers, usually when they don't 'take over' the watch.

It's all a matter of preference and it's not to my taste I'm afraid.
Gold - yes, but diamonds on a mans watch is just too much for me personally.
(but what the heck do I know - I must have said 20 times by now - if I get this one, it's my last!)

Personnally I do not like them.

I did see a guy at the Airport wearing a Black SS Datejust with oyster bracelet that had diamond hour markers and it actually looked pretty good.

In Asia, there are a lot of men that like diamonds on their watches, but not so popular in the USA.

Lady I was going out with in Cambodia, who works as a Sales clerk at a luxury watch store, told me actually most Cambodian and Chinese males customers they have prefer watches with Diamonds and Gold. A real status thing. (diamond and gold Rados where their top sellers)

I must agree with the majority. I have found that buying diamonds for my WIFE has a much bigger reward than purchasing them for myself.....Jv

Diamonds ON a watch would scratch the sapphire crystals, I believe, since diamonds have the hardness coefficient of 10, and sapphire the HC of 9.

So diamonds on a watch?

Diamonds are only for women, IMHO. I wouldn't have any diamonds on any of my watches. Just a personal opinion and preference on my part.

Diamonds are fine on a Rolex. I have a blue jubilee face with diamond markers. I think the diamond bezel or a diamond bracelet is a bit too far, but you never know. I am not in love with diamonds on the watch, but my wife picked out my first Rolex

Just enough bling for me. The diamond bezel they sell for this watch is a giant step into the "TOO FAR" zone (in addition to being an extra $10K )

Im just not a fan of the bling, I think it has no place in gentleman's watch, I dont mind gold watches, platinum, or any precious metal, but I like my jewels in the movement

Not a fan of Diamonds on men. In fact, if a woman bought me diamonds I would feel sooo cheap and used!

I Don't care for diamonds on any sport models but the Day Date WG with a rhodium diamond dial is subtle and it blends in well with the dial but shines in the light.

Big no on a diamond bezel

I don't like diamonds on watches for myself, I have no issues if someone else wants diamonds on their watch. I depend upon a dial that glows in the dark, diamonds don't glow so I would never consider a diamond dial. As far as diamonds on the bezel not for me either. Just my view.

Well, maybe on a dial, but it would really have to be done right, and as the other guys have said, not if it takes over the look of the watch. Apart from that, definitely nowhere else on the watch.
