Dress down strap for 5227R

A member on another subject regarding whether to buy either a L&S or Patek 5227. Made the comment that with the right strap/colour you could dress down the 5227.

I am looking at getting a 5227R next week on a deployant and my preferred choice of strap is their Glossy Chocolate Brown, which I know from experience will dull over time and become more of a matt finish.

But the members comment got me thinking!

So, can other member suggest alternative straps that would suit the 5227R?

Many thanks

Usually a strap with contrasting stitching and perhaps calf leather instead of alligator instantly make a dressy watch look much more casual. The UK site "A Collected Man" usually puts on one of their fairly casual after market straps when selling and photographing a dress watch on the site. I recommend taking a look at this site for inspiration. I e.g. personally find these watch-strap pairings very nice:

and

Disclaimer: I am not in any way affiliated with above site, but do enjoy their nice high res watch photos and interesting strap pairings.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions.

Are there any others?

I have the white gold and cream dial 5227 and switched from the black shiny croc to the brown semi matte and like that a lot more!
