What’s a good second patek?

I currently have just one. A white dial steel nautilus i got at SRP from an AD (sans discount) in 2017.

Thinking of getting a perpetual calendar next. Seems that would be quintessential patek. Maybe a 5327 in YG.

What do you think? What’s a good reference to get as one’s second PP?

That's very beautiful. I prefer the blue 5327 though.

I think you have it backwards. Get a patek MR and an AP PC.

I wish I can be like the OP. Looking for opinion for a second PP, AP, and a VC at the same time.

Depends...

How old are you? What do you like? What’s your lifestyle?

Couldn’t recommend something properly without knowing your taste.

If you want a Perpetual... maybe the 5320

If you have a 5204, I would look for a 5004.

If you have a 5004, the 5204 would offer you a crisper knock-about.

Yes. Nothing else to do while waiting for my kid.

And who better to ask than the experts here.

Would have considered if PC. Nice though. And easier to read.

For some reason the three subdial Patek (even if harder to read) appeals to me.

That’s why i ask the experts’ opinion. I don’t know any better.

What i really wanna do as my next project (maybe next 3 to 5 years) is to complete a grand complications trinity. Not all in one watch. But one each from big three. In PM since what i currently have are all SS. Hopefully not more than USD100K.

So far, only the PP PC sings to me. And it’s the one am closest to closing. Have it costed out. About USD80K here.

Will have to recalibrate if AP is the PC.

Is VC known for splits second? PP also has a nice splits second.

Thanks.

Going to be tough to source a MR from Patek with 100k unfortunately. I think a Patek PC is a great place to start in that case.

Not sure if VC is known for split seconds to be honest. I believe their first in house chrono was just released a few years back. The 5370P is the split seconds to have but again double your budget.

Thanks. Am turning 43. Laidback lifestyle but get to dress up every now and then. Life revolves around my 4 kids. I like watches. And whiskey. And w.....

5320 nice but the dial of the 5327/5140/3940 types appeal to me more.

Maybe will get lucky with an AP MR.

Now it dawns on me. I did read somewhere that Mr Stern personally checks each MR that they produce before releasing.

Doesnt have to be in-house for me.

Yup. That PP splits second is awesome. But i dont want a third patek.

Anyway, lots of helpful inputs. Will consider all.

Thanks again.
