pam911 as my first Panerai
This one sang to me immedaitely
love the clean dial that changes from olive green to gray (see last two pic) love the 44mm size (i struggled choosing between 42mm and 47mm submersible. Almost bought the 1389...but just couldn't pull the trigger) even love the Rosegold hands. It works well with this dial. and it comes in a beautiful box. cherry-on-top is this model is the last Paneristi designed by outgoing CEO Angelo Bonati. And it checks all the boxes for me. and yeah, i have a soft spot for 911.. and it matches my cocoa interior not bad for my first Pam

Excellent first Panerai! I agree, that green dial is something special. Glad to see what you finally decided on! It was neat seeing your Submersible thread and now getting this!
Hope you enjoy it for years to come. |

Grey seller.
I was late to the game.. and none of the Boutiques had one in stock or expecting one. Considering i can get 20-25% off regular Panerais at the AD, I definitely over-paid. However, I am still happy with my decision.

just wished it had a see trough back (altough than it would probably not have 300m waterresistance) and a domed saphire :) ,well as they say ...you never get everything with Panerai.... |

Yeah, it would have been nice to see the movement via see-thru caseback.. but I prefer most sports watches with solid caseback ....as long as it doesn’t look like the inside of the Brooklyn Pam. Lol My Omega Seamaster 300 MC has a crystal back and 300m water resistance, so I am not sure why Panerai cannot....

I’m stuck between the 682 and 1389 as well, may just go with a 233 as 44mm is the sweet spot IMO
Love the 911, looks great on you |

thanks guys !
really enjoying the watch one thing i appreciate is the high visibility of the hands against the clean dial. not sure if all Pams are like this or its because of the RG hands. Anyways, compared to this, my Rolex dials are so cluttered. Here is a pic during twilight.

Nice. Just got my 911 as well. This is the first OEM leather strap that I haven't wanted to change.
