Thank you. I can understand that somehow. Heavywheight vs lightweight.

Hi Bas, Are the sunburst blue dials of the regular Platona and the Baguette-marker Platona the same color?

Yes they are only difference is the markers and the brown outer ring of the subdials, bit the inner bit has the same colour.

I changed from «standard» to Baguette dial - both stunning, but same color.
Ice Blue is grey, light blue and sunburst blue - depending on the light :D

I think it's around $6k over the regular model, so around $81k.

I wonder if it would be fun to buy that dial and switch every few years, but I wouldn't give up my regular dial plus cash for the diamond tone-on-tone one.

Icon20 NOT IN CLUB YET ! But Knocking on the door (August 17 2019)

I joined ROLEX forum in May and I am hooked on learning from so many participants teaching and informing / educating me- Thanks for making and keeping this forum ALIVE.

I must be "NUTS" as I started looking for a white dial Daytona and now I want to join this club.

I received a text pic of a Plantium Daytona with Baguette Diamonds from
DAVID SW on Thursday and I jumped on plane Friday morning and met with him before lunch.

unless I change my mind.... I will have Tuesday.

Knocking on the Door!

I will and want to share more BUT - After I am in the CLUB

Pray for me to make the right decision

I made this comment on your other post about the PT Daytona...
If you love the watch, and it’s not going to break the budget, or put you & your family in financial stress....you’ve made the right decision! Congratulations!

You guys have too much money. :)

I love them all. Prefer the contrast of the brown subdials than the monocolor of the diamond dial. Both look good though.

Does 5170p make you think about platona swap to hour markers?

Wow, these are stunning.
I am a newbie now, just got a 116509 WG with steel-color/black dials.
I'm already looking at Platonas!
I couldn't find one in the Chicago, but I would like to eventually get one.
My WG Daytona weighs around 222 g, and I know that platinum is a denser metal. Do you guys notice much difference when wearing it daily?
