Icon4 Need help with Rolex 1655 "Freccione"
Hi all, I would really appreciate to get some help and some of your expertise about a watch I've recently acquired that I'm not sure what to do with.

The watch I'm talking about is a Rolex 1655. The things I know about the watch already - it has got a service case (?) with serial 44XXXXX and the dial has been painted (filled in with black paint in the top left and the pointers too)

Also, the bezelring, is not original for this model from what I can see? It looks too big for the case. It is standing out a little bit over the edges of the case as I have tried to show in the pictures. I have compared with the different MK's for this reference and none of them look like mine. Could it be a service bezel? Or from some other ref? Please help enlighten me.

Yeah and also the number ”10” zero is also almost square

I think the dial is fake. See my post in this thread from years ago that included a picture from Stefano Mazzarial's blog site (now pay to view but back then was open) showing the known legitimate 1655 dial variants. The dial at issue in that thread was IMO also not genuine but was being offered for sale by a reputable outfit.

The dial on your watch unfortunately looks to be like the known fakes like this one that have the incorrect spacing of the "T Swiss T text and the wrong coronet shape for "T Swiss T" dials.
