It survived but then when I smashed it with a hammer it broke so naturally I went to RSC and claimed it was a fragile piece of jewellery and they refunded me and gave me a free D500 as an apology.

I figured the DSSD and EXii are the only real 'tool' watches still left in the catalog. Not that the rest of the Professional line can't and isn't used as a tool, but the EXii & DSSD seem to be function over form, whereas the other models tend to favor a little more on style. That said at the end of the day I'd say its more on how the owner wears the piece that determines its tool usage more than anything. My early morning thoughts on it.
