I fell in love with this watch and then was really underwhelming when I tried it on at Rolex AD Beverly Hills.

Looks great, but if I’m buying PM, I want to see more gold or platinum.

I do love the Oysterflex, but prefer the Daytona WG with steel dial and Oysterflex.

Some chirp as it's a pm on rubber. Uhhh its elastomer!
Too expensive for a pm on rubber!

If you look and compare a Rolex that comes on oysterflex and on a bracelet it will cost you $11-12k more to have the solid pm bracelet.

So this is priced accordingly for having no bracelet.

still enjoying mine!
I've seen one come and go as low as 12,000 - brand new, literally worn once, where the market is now i haven't a clue, all the grey dealers seem to armpit 15-16.5k.

only seen 3 being worn when out and about which is nice....

In Europe preloved fullsets anywhere between 17 and 19K!
Like many other references certainly less last year, around 15.5-17 back then. You just need to see this watch on the wrist in daylight and then for Rolex aficionado’s it should be pretty hard not to like it!
The matte black bezel with polished numbers and Everose case make an absolute excellent combination!

I finally was able to get my wife’s 116655 away from her for a couple hours. “Let the games begin!” Lol.

They market is around $18k right now I believe, seems like a fairly good deal, albeit not a ton of PM.

Although I'd been looking at the Rolex online catalogue for years at Subs, GMT's and Daytona's, I did not notice the Yacht-Master until I went into the watch dealer and saw it in the metal.
The matte black bezel and dial along with the oysterflex sold it for me.

Wow that diamond dial looks good in the sun. I love the way the hour markers seem to float above the dial.

Great thread... beautiful pix, gentlemen. Does anyone or their significant other own the 116695 SATS? I realize it's probably a bit flashy for the average guy, to say the least, but as a GIA graduate, it excites the hell out of me. Anyway, I'd love to see pix if anyone has one.

I had to google that one. It doesn't even come up on the Rolex site.

My Ad owns the rainbow version with pave dial, which he had to pay over retail for like a normal customer lol. I’ll try to get pics of it soon, since I have to stop in to pick up a piece. My understanding is when they first launched this they only had 2 versions. Rainbow bezel non pave and rainbow with pave dial. Only recently did they start offering the pave dial only version. Which is the one I ended up with. I wanted to add a oysterflex model to my collection as well as something with a pave dial. Luckily I was able to check those boxes with one piece. It’s not quite the heavy hitter as the SATS, as this piece isn’t 20+k over retail, but it is a good add to my collection and a fun one. Ok enough rambling from me, I’ll report back with pics as soon as I can get them!

Very much attracted to this watch especially with the new version coming out at 42mm. Too large for me!!! Also a fairly short run!! I just don't care about the new movement.

Only the new WG is 42mm.
The old 116655 and the new 126655 are both 40mm.
