Visit my AD and they had two BLNR and one green sub, the green sub looks amazing but u have to love the color. It stands out too much, if it was a darker military green I'll be on it.

The display cases at some of our ADS are lower than normal FWIW.

I always tend to buy watches in the spring/summer months and kick the tires over the holidays. The tire kicking hasn't been as fun lately

I heard Rolex will begin shipping as soon as they reopen in January. Shipments were light in December but watches were delivered to ADs. The sports models simply sold out for the year and stopped delivering around the end of November. One AD told me they will be getting a green sub in February, but most watches will start shipping in January. Nobody knows what is going on with the steel Daytona. All I hear from ADs is they cannot get them and have no idea when they will receive one.

My 2 AD’s have not received a shipment since October. They expect the next one to be January or February so this is consistent to what others have heard.

Display cases are low everywhere. Rolex has had a bumper year. Great marketing combined with the highest quality at a great price point seems to work. Some of the new watches are accurate to a few seconds a month. No other watch manufacture comes even close to that.

Hi TRFers,

I very much appreciate the nature of this forum, the information spread, etc. It really is great, and many really do wish to help others get the Rolex of their dreams, and understand better what is happening with the market for Rolex watches and other brands. However, and as new member here, sometimes I really do tire of the, "I heard from an AD..." I know many are trying to convey info that others will use to determine purchase questions, etc. However, as I've written before, nature abhors a vacuum, and Rolex lives in a vacuum. As a company, they reveal nothing, and tell no one anything. Instead, we receive hearsay, speculation, gossip, and general conjecture, and very little of it helps. We hear snippets of info from an AD in MO, Montreal, Delhi, etc. It does not provide anything like a complete picture. If anything, it increases the "fever" that one experiences on this forum, with members worrying about getting this watch or that. I respond to this in two ways. Firstly, these are watches we are talking about. We are not surgeons savings lives. Thus, lets keep some perspective here. Secondly, please be patient. Everyone who wants a particular Rolex will eventually get it. You can wait, or buy it Grey and pay more. Either way, you'll get it. We are not talking about Faberge eggs, or rare paintings here. We are talking about non-limited edition watches. I want to get a Sky Dweller. I had a recent chance to get one, and had to pass on it for various reasons. I know I will get one next year. I except that. If prices go up, they go up. I don't care. I don't get to control what I pay if Rolex increase prices. If I want it, and its available, I pay what I pay.

Happy Christmas all. Take a deep breath, those who are worried, and take another. If' you're motivated, disciplined, focused, and patient, YOU WILL GET THE WATCH YOU'RE AFTER. Its that bloody simple. Out.

Exactly. In 2018, ADs start getting watches. The oasis in the desert is in front of you. Just keep walking.

Never ever lied to me so I believe it.

Hi Watchwatcher,

Yes, I'll in real trouble! I don't criticise others for it. After all, TRF members want to report what they are hearing. However, it does reflect on how little Rolex put out, and it leads to rampant speculation about... well, everything.

Yes scoot, about 3 months ago I myslef bought the hulk, it was available, I was interested to buy another piece the BLNR this time and just called in, when I called the first AD thought it was all sold out bcz his prices was always better then the second one so I phoned in the second AD out of curiosity and told me the same exact thing, like other memebers suggested I do think its some kind or marketing strategy and eventually everything will be back availabe, was just sharing my experience.

I like to hear what AD's are saying, get a kick out of it. As far as getting my undies in a bundle over it, Not. And really think no one else here does either.

They are salesmen plain & simple and will use tactics at hand...besides it's just something to talk about on a discussion forum.

Merry Christmas

The Rolex HQ keeps a secret better than an intelligence agency. So the AD donīt no more than we do and maybe we hear what we want to hear.
But rumors give variety to the conversations, right?

Far greater concerns to occupy my mind than an AD’s inventory.

I'd keep quiet about any discounts now, your AD seems way out of the loop and Rolex will take a very dim view of AD's discounting in this climate.
