I have been going for pedicures the last couple of years because 1. these broken old knees don't allow me to reach my feet comfortably enough, for long enough, to take care of that biz myself and 2. it's a pretty cool thing to do with my daughter because of the un-forced communication that results, something that typically spills over into lunch (and some shopping...she's pretty smart that way).

I have learned to love them but wonder how I will justify them when the knees are replaced and the daughter off to college...

Not as often as I would like, but do enjoy it occasionally.

I started when I turned 70. Much easier to have someone sitting, facing my feet, than me bending over.

The last guy with feet like that flipped her his watch for a tip, fyi. That's what I heard, anyway.

There's a place near here which advertises "Mani-Pedi-Brazillian Package" I've been thinking of trying. What's Brazilian? Like stoning the feet?

This makes me laugh as well. Real men could care less what anyone else thinks is "manly".

You are kidding right Jim?

If you really don't know, please try it and report back with how it went for you!

I thought "Brazilian" referred to a type of nuts. . . . . um, scratch that, . . . never mind.

The pedi is nice every once in awhile for the heals. The next thing you need to try is the foot rub for an hour. Bring an iPad to do work or watch a movie. It’s sublime.

I once did. My feet are ticklish AF so I laughed like a little kid the whole time. It wasn’t a good look. It was so embarrassing to me and the other patrons that I’m sure I have been banned from all pedicure places in a 100 mile radius. Needless to say I haven’t done it again.

Never done it, and my wife has never asked me.

When I get old and can’t cut my own nails, I will go see a podiatrist.

pedicure, no, but manicures every 10 days or so. In Thailand it is cheap, so like $3 for a manicure.
