Do people who buy a GMT actually use the feature?.

I've been wondering about this along with the Daytona & Skydweller. I don't dive but I like the feature of the bezel on my Submariner that can be used for timing.

I do use the GMT function when I travel.

I set the GMT hand to home time and move the hour hand to whatever the local time is.

Even when I wear the watch here at home, I practice reading time from the GMT hand just to get accustomed to using it

Yes. Not exactly as intended, but I still use it to track two time zones simultaneously.

I travel to Africa and Europe for work and find the GMT to be my most used complication for not only the travel to a new time zone, but also making sure that I am tracking others for calls and coordination. I love them.

Same here.

Although, I will freely admit, since I don't travel much anymore, I do more of the latter and less of the former.

Sometimes, but I personally love the 4th hand and 24hr bezel. Especially when the 4th hand is colored to accent the bezel. I also use the GMT bezel as a timing devise just like I do my divers bezel. Luxury is about giving you more than what you need and I would guess that most people don’t use their chronograph feature much either. I found a timing bezel either on a GMT or Submariner gets used more for simple timing activities like cooking than actual diving.

There are few things more satisfying than pulling the crown upon arriving at your destination and turning the independent hour hand forwards or backwards while the seconds are still ticking away...

Yes, the GMT hand/ ring on home time and the normal hands on local.
Just looking at the watch has helped prevent me calling people on inappropriate times.

The GMT feature is the one complication I like most

That is a good point about the movement. Also applies for daylight savings time

Yes I do. On my Explorer Polar. I use it a lot.

Today I'm entertaining and timing food using my Carrera. The Daytona's sub dials are too small for my eyes. That's why I don't own one.

I travel a lot so yes...

I also like using it as a quick reference for 24hr time locally, or as an easy indicator for my kid to let him know when (blue Arrow points to black from blue) it's almost time for bed:) I have also used it to make a start time so I can track elapsed time.

I personally think its the most useful complication Rolex makes.

I use it constantly on BLRO, BLNR and Sky Dwellers. Better than hauling the phone out all the time.

Use the 2nd time function on my SkyD regularly since I travel a lot. 24hr dial is set to my home time (considered setting it to GMT) and the hour hand changing based on location. Completely unnecessary due to smartphones, but nothing beats to sophistication of mechanical movement.

Sure we do. Hour hand jump sets to local time with home time on the GMT Hand. Only one hour off today, but global travel is many hours difference.

And the bezel turns bi-directional, so you can use it to time events, cooking, etc. I set the bezel position as a simple reminder when i need to be somewhere or do something. Complex scheduling is on the mobile devices.
