Submariner date, in white Gold.

Submariner Date in white Gold what do people here think ?

I was offered the same by AD (no waiting, come and buy), I declined, thought would double check on the decision :)

Please PM me in-case someone what to know which AD has the same.

In the USA, it is not a difficult to find watch due to its cost. It sure is beautiful but I’ll never spend that much on a watch, just wish they made it in SS.

I owned one and liked it. Moved it on because I liked something else better.

I think it's a fantastic watch. I've admired it from afar for many years.

I can't justify adding one to the collection, though, b/c my heart belongs to the YG version.

Those are relatively easy to find for now. That may change after Basel this year but who knows.

Try to get bundle deal with BLNR, BLRO or Daytona.

It’s an amazing watch! Is there more to the question than general thoughts? It’s incredible.

Submariner date, in white Gold.

I used to regularly rotate between several different GMTs, Subs, and SeaDwellers in the collection - 16710, 5513, BLNR, SD43, DeepSea JC, 16600, CHNR, 16040. And then I got the Smurf. Since then, it hasn’t come off the wrist, and the others don’t get a look in. Iconic design, discretion, unique... The Smurf is the ultimate Sub!

I really like it and think that it is a stunning piece. However, they are pretty easy to get (depending on the AD) and I think if I was to go PM with the Sub, I would opt for the YG. But that is just my own tastes.

How do you like the weight compared to your SS pieces?

Bellagio usually has white and yellow gold subs when I check in. No Roos though.

It is heavy. And I love it. It is a continual reminder - and only to the wearer of it - of its value. And being WG, it is discretion and stealth that only you know. It makes all other SS watches feel cheap if I am being honest.

Another thing with the Smurf is that the flat blue has many hues in different light. It has character that reveals itself, whereas the sunburst blue is predictable and relatively shouty.

I agree with you on it being an ultimate sub. You still wearing the stickers?

When that photo was taken last year, they were still on and coming off.

What a stunning piece and shot. I can see why you can’t take it off your wrist. I would do the same.

Are you sure? Easy to get? I would disagree, sorry!

Best looking sub , by the way.
