I think it's one of the best modern Rolexes and if you're on the fence you should get it!

Submariner date, in white Gold.

I love mine. It’s my first PM. I love that almost no one has any idea what it is. I love the weight and the hue of Rolex white gold. My AD had never seen one in their store until I ordered mine. Took 5 weeks to arrive.

I wish it had a sunburst dial. I might need to add a 116618LB some day.

If they made the smurf in SS, you'd NEVER find one.....................just like an actual smurf. I'd say it would beat out a Daytona panda.

They were soft on re-sale for a long time but with the rising tide on Rolex all models are doing better. I think they are obtainable but many have posted here deliveries on these has slowed or stopped per their ADs. If you want one, I would move now. I am not a big fan of the flat blue color. A sunburst, now that would pop and be very cool.

Sunburst dial would look weird on a Smurf. The Smurf has to have the blue lacquer dial. I have both the yellow gold sunburst and the Smurf. Both are amazing!

I think some people don't like the "flat" looking dial, and prefer the sunburst effect you have on the two-tone blue sub. I haven't seen both in person long enough to form an opinion.

Please PM me in-case someone what to know which AD has the same.
What would be the point? White gold looks like SS.

Only from a distance. White gold is much warmer than SS.

I agree. I took a good look at one at my AD. The flat blue did nothing for me. I did like the white gold though.

Anyone who compares WG to SS doesn't understand quality or discretion. The way WG handles, the weight and presence on the wrist, and the subtlety that it DOESN'T scream gold is what justifies its price and product positioning. Really glad that Rolex have never duplicated the lacquer blue dial in another watch.

White gold looks totally different than SS in person. The luster of white gold is unmistakable. The white gold smurf has been a grail of mine for years. I am always on the lookout for a good deal on one.

Beautiful watch, no question.

But if I’m spending that kind of money, may as well get the ice blue platinum day date.

Buy it.
Or get the yellow gold Submariner 116618LB

It's just all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconvenience we have to deal with.

Beautiful watch, certainly worth considering if you can afford it.

One word of warning though - it accumulates scratches very easily.

I’m really on the fence on trading my 116500LN (with some cash from me) for a 116619. I love my Daytona and I waited for 3 years to get it from my AD, but my eyes can’t see the time anymore (without my readers anyway). I already have a BLNR and a 116610LV, so it would be nice to have a blue dial, instead of 2 black dials and a green one. I’ve always loved the 116619, it is a grail of mine. But then I would have two subs. Decisions, decisions.

I sold my Daytona and now have two subs. I don’t see what the problem is:)

Saw one in person the other day at an AD. A beauty. It is high in my next watch list!
