This has to be a mistake right?
Maybe it'll settle to this level but I'm not seeing anything under $12k anywhere else...

Well, if that's correct, it’s going to dent the prices in Chrono24, eBay and WatchRecon.

I'm not sure why people are surprised (from the "other" forum specifically geared towards Omega).
6,996 pieces is *not* limited to me. Not when we're talking about a non-standard Speedmaster. If this was the Apollo 13 45th Silver Snoopy, I bet 7k pieces would've been fine, and they'd still trade, albeit only very slightly above MSRP at that point. But something else? I don't see how anyone thinks 7k pieces will remain trading above MSRP. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they take a while to sell out entirely. Omega Boutiques claim they're sold out, but I call BS on that. "Allocated" is not the same as "sold out." |

Indeed. It's very telling that despite being warranty-less (grey market dealer), even at $7,995 (17% off) it has not been snapped up yet -- despite this model being listed elsewhere for around $12k.
Don't get me wrong, though, I do like this one a lot. But 7k pieces total is *not* limited edition in the realm of LE Speedy's. I would've thought they figured that out with the 60th Anniversary Edition Speed at 3,557 pieces (it took forever and ever to sell out). |

I like this watch a lot - but wouldn't pay full retail, and sure as hell wouldn't pay a premium - if it sells out, I'm happy to have stood by my conviction and will accept missing out ... because if I do, that's left over cash for the next FOMO fueled LE.. which should be arriving any minute now...

As far as I can tell, this is stock of new watches. I went through the exercise of loading it in my cart, and could have ordered three. Therefore, we don’t know how many have been "snapped up yet". |

Even then, my comments on 6,996 not being truly limited still stand. :)
