126710BLNR with Jubilee Bracelet Vs. "batgirl"

Children please...

A Pepsi is a Pepsi whether it is on an oyster or a jubilee or even if it’s on an aftermarket nato or rubber strap. A Pepsi is a Pepsi if it has a black dial, blue dial, or a meteorite dial. It’s not the bracelet or even the dial. It’s ONLY the bezel. People used to change the Pepsi’s to Coke’s (and visa versa) by changing the bezels.

In fact, it doesn’t even have to be a Rolex ... there are Pepsi Seikos, Tag Heuers, etc.

Likewise, a Batman is a Batman no matter what the bracelet, dial, or even brand (Batman is used for the Tag Heuer F1 GMT and other brands). It’s only the bezel.

Grow up little ones.

I have said this before but in my opinion the only thing more childish than using the nicknames is being genuinely bothered by others using them.

I didn't and won't be voting.

How about a gender “neutral” name so you do not offend anyone...

If you insist on naming your son "Jubilee", don't act so surprised if he gets teased and stuffed in a locker at school.

I'm with you Nick...I can take them or leave them. I don't think using the nicknames makes you any less serious of a watch enthusiast.

The subject of this thread makes no sense what so ever.
The question is presumably comparing the same watch with the same bracelet to itself.

Its comparing calling it "BLNR w/Jubilee" vs calling it "Batgirl". Its about the names/nicknames. It's kinda spelled out in the OP.

I am the OP of this thread. Clearly the purpose of this Poll is to see if TRF Members like the nickname "batgirl" or Not.

From the poll numbers so far the Undeniable Answer Is TRF Members do NOT like the Ridiculous Nickname!

How about “The better Batman but called batgirl by those that are insecure about owning the first generation of it” ?

Hahahahahaha. Kidding. Lol

I feel like after the Batman received a jubilee bracelet it pretty much had a sex change and became batgirl. Let's just put on our big boy pants fellas and deal with the nicknames.

What do you propose for the name of the jubilee (sex changed) Pepsi?

Pepsi Max maybe, I think Pepsi max is the diet coke equivalent. I'll leave this one to the forum.

Why not “Diet Pepsi” if that is equivalent to “Diet Coke?”

I think Batgirl is a funny nickname, however, it should simply be called the BLNR or Batman with Jubilee bracelet.

That was what I preferred but I wasn't sure there was a product from Pepsi labelled as 'diet Pepsi'. Now that I googled it, Diet Pepsi is good to go as a nickname. I don't drink this stuff, all I see in Sydney is coke zero or Pepsi max.

I think that BLNR on a jubilee is stunning.

I've been considering a jubilee to add to my collection (all oyster) and this might be the one. Excellent addition to the line-up.........

........whatever you want to call it

The crux of the matter is that with the reference number change, new movement, altered case and new bracelet the idea of continuing the nickname Batman became the question.

12 BLNR just doesn't have the same cleverness.

It's just a somewhat chic nickname really, no need to take it to the schoolyard level.

What's odd is that most people learn early constantly responding "stop saying that" often provokes the opposite desired result.

Changing the bracelet shouldn't change the name. The WG ceramic Pepsi and the SS ceramic Pepsi are still Called Pepsi, why call the BLNR something else. We aren't calling the jubilee Pepsi a Diet Pepsi are we?
