Help with this 6605
Was looking to purchase and did some research.
1. The dial seems off. 2. No other watch in my research showed this style of dial in a two tone body. On posing these questions, I am being told that its authentic, and really rare, that's why there are no pictures around. WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF EXPERTS COULD CHIME IN. |

I think the key point that you made "in a two tone body" is the point. Here are two Gold models with similar style/type dials: https://www.ebay.com/itm/18511662101...Bk9SR9i0yZDBYw https://www.ebay.com/itm/19606820676...Bk9SR9a0yZDBYw |

- first one is lumed with the lumed hands - second one is Repainted as mentioned by OP but has hands used for the lumed variant. I did some search, there are 2 variants in this type of dial that I could find. 1. Gold sunburst with no lume 2. White with lume. The dial in question is supposed to be a gold sunburst without lume. Is this how a dial like that would age? |

That's a different question. Whether this is how a dial would age. This is a damaged dial from time, as you can see from the bumps and scarring. Others would call it "tropical." Who knows what dial came with this watch. As with the 16xx series, dials/bezels/hands were swapped throughout the time, and SS models were switched to two tone and vice versa. |
