Flipping

Just curious what is the best course of action to flip? I notice so many people on this site seem to flip their watches quite often. I am keeping my rolexes, but am strongly considering selling an IWC Big Pilot for an AP royal oak. I was thinking of trading at an AD. Is it better to sell on Chrono24 or a similar site? I know it obviously depends on what AD is willing to do, but just wondering in general.

I suggest reaching out to Thanh Do (Takuya Watches). He is a trusted seller on the forum. I think you'll do better trading with him than you would at an AD. He carries AP as well.

Good luck.

Here's the strategy for flipping an iwc: bend over and get ready.

Sell here. Try to do a private sale with an established member or approach one of the trusted sellers/buyers. If you scan the "for sale" section, it won't take long to figure out who to deal with ;-)

Yep! Thanh Do is the man. Reach out to him (Takuya), and shoot DavidSW a note too. IMO these two are the best in the business, and offer the most competitive trade values. Certainly much much higher than any AD I've come across.

True, IWC's are not holding value at all unfortunately.
