Having serviced and worked on PO's with after sale issues, I am comfortable offering this advice. RUN-don't walk away from OMEGA!
Buy the Rolex. Rolex service is second to none-expensive but it will be done right. The PO's I worked on,most had made at least 1 trip to Omega service. Bottom line for a sport watch-the Rolex movement is WAY better. The only other manufacturer that I would recommend would be IWC. Just my 2 cents. |

PO is more versatile imo.
MG may be an acquired taste and style. |

GV. I'm biased though, this is a Rolex forum, and I like Rolex's!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions..still not sure though..need to think it over a little more..like the comments said they are two completely different types of watch..do not really need a dress watch and feel the Milgauss is more sporty then dressy. also with the green crystal it seems more casual..but hey thats only my opinion and i'm sure there are TRF members that will disagree.
if any one has pics of the two watches side by side for comparison that would be great. |

i tried on the GV first, wanted it for the longest time, then bought a 2500 PO.
the PO grew on me and now i no longer want the GV... it was a money factor for me. i still go the dealer and check out the non GV ones once in awhile. i really want to try on the GV again sometime. two completely diff watches. i wish the 8500 wasnt as tall. |

I own both, although my PO 8500 has the silver numerals.
The Omega has a better power reserve (60 hours) versus around 42 for the GV. It has a display caseback and goes deeper (2000 ft vs 300 ft). Overall, a more rugged and sporty watch. But I think if you're after a dressy watch, then the GV. |

As much as I love the PO (I own two myself), you already have a diver watch in the Sub.
So, go for the GV and add versatility (as well as another Rolex!) to your collection. |

I'd get the Milgauss, hands down. I like the style of it more, trust its movement more, prefer the independent brand status of Rolex and would rather be backed up by the service network that Rolex has established, compared to that of the Swatch Group.
Just in case you wanted a rationale. But only you can choose what watch needs to be on your wrist. |

do you want PCL's and a more dressy watch? if yes then the Milguass, if not well personally I'm not sure I'd chose the PO given what you already have, why not try something like an Explorer I or II? just my two cents

GV for uniqueness.
Green Crystal, Bolt hands, two color markers, Duo lum, matte dial, anit-magnetic. You don't find these design feature across Rolex line-up. Plus, you don't bump into someone who sport a Milgauss daily. I like PO but PO is just too common.... |

The GV is totally different from a PO or Sub...

the gv would really complement your current watches. you already have a diver, a gmt, now its time for a dressier model and the gv looks fabulous with a suit.
i am really not a fan of the po line. it will look outdated and old in few years and i am not convinced by this coaxial gimmick.

Hello Everyone, I'm new here and must say that I really love the look of the GV over the Seamaster. There is just something about that Green Crystal!

Both are nice watches but the PO is a tad too big for me, therefore I'd go with the GV. Besides, it would make quite an unique watch that would pop out more in your collection.
